WORKERS, 2025 tote bag third edition.
Deluxe tote.
The size is width 34 / depth 16 / height 31. It is the so-called M size.
The handle is short and can only be held by hand.
I considered using a long handle, but the handle is narrow, so no matter how long it is, it will be too cramped. So I just used the short handle I already had.
I thought about adding an outer pocket, but the width between the handles is too narrow. Even if I tried to add one here, it would be difficult to use as a pocket, so I ended up not adding one.
The handle is color-coordinated with the body. The same fabric as the bottom is sewn on top of the tape. Here too, a two-needle sewing machine is used, folding the fabric on both sides so that it rests on the center of the tape. Equipment is everything! So, this time too, we went to a factory in northern Kanto.
Of course, it's made in Japan. No matter how many samples I show you, I still can't be satisfied until I explain these things myself. At the sides, the edges of the fabric are folded and sewn alternately. This forms the frame of the bag, allowing it to stand on its own even when empty.
The main body is made of No. 6 canvas, which is equivalent to 18.9 ounces. The bottom and the part that rests on the tape are made of No. 11 canvas, which is equivalent to 12 ounces.
Is the body slightly lighter than the original? However, the Japanese JIS standard canvas and the original duck canvas are different standards, so if you want to make something exactly the same, you probably have to start from scratch.
Previously, when we developed a D River-style oxford with a fabric store, we used a yarn count that is not widely available in Japan. This is probably because America uses Tex and Japan uses count. Because the standards are different, thread counts that are standard in Japan are not available in American Tex. Also, Tex that is standard in America is not the same count as in Japan... and so on. In the end, the D River-style was made from an unusual count yarn, known as "edge count," thanks to the fabric store's economies of scale.
With this tote bag, we don't want to make it exactly the same as the original, but rather "make something that meets Japanese standards and comes close to the original, and in some cases even surpasses it."
The stitching is so beautiful it surpasses the original. You'd expect it to come from a Japanese sewing factory.
The texture of the fabric is beautiful. The tape is flexible and easy to hold. However, the original is the original, and the fabric and parts are rough and tough. The stitching is rough, with a "it doesn't break, it's fine" feel. That's its own charm.
Different countries produce different results. Please take a look at the differences.

If you're looking for a lightweight, durable tote that can withstand rough use, this is the one for you.
Use it extensively in your daily life, camping, at the gym, and at the sauna.
This is the order screen for the navy body. We also have a green body, so please feel free to ask.
