Darryl Begay

Born in Arizona in 1973, he learned the craft from his uncle Bobby Begay, a silversmith , and began creating jewelry using traditional Navajo tufa casting in 1997 .
Daryl masterfully depicts complex scenes of Navajo landscapes, people, plants, and animals on tufa stone . He is one of the top Navajo artists who can produce high-quality work using not only tufa casting but also all other techniques.
In 2009, he was one of the few jewelers to win the "BEST OF SHOW" award at the Santa Fe Indian Market, and his talent is highly regarded in the United States.
Daryl also creates many high-quality jewelry pieces using gold and high-grade turquoise, and his works are handled by famous galleries in the United States. He also frequently visits Japan to hold shows, and is a popular artist in Japan as well.
