Introducing the TICK.D.NIME 10s Sack Jacket from DALEE'S & CO.

Inspired by classic jackets of the 1910s, this piece combines old-fashioned tailoring details with the casual appeal of denim.

TICK is one of DALEE'S signature jacket styles. Although the details are refined from one release to the next, its distinctive use of curves and classic design has remained a defining feature.

Unlike a conventional denim jacket, it features a tailored-style collar and a gently curved front hem.

Two flap pockets sit at the chest, while the lower front features generously sized patch pockets with unusual angled openings that allow you to slip your hands in naturally.

Substantial metal buttons add character to the front.

Turn it around, and you'll find a center-back seam and a horizontal band across the waist, giving the jacket just as much personality from behind.

All those wonderfully quirky TICK details, this time in denim.

The fabric is DALEE'S original 10.5oz denim, woven on vintage shuttle looms in Ibara, Okayama.

American Memphis cotton is used for the warp, while soft grey mélange yarns are woven into the weft.

Instead of the usual white weft found in most denim, the grey yarns give this fabric a distinctive, deep indigo appearance.

It has all the character you'd expect from denim, yet feels surprisingly soft and comfortable.

And, of course, the creases and fading that develop with wear are another part of the pleasure.

For the photos, we've paired it with a playful graphic T-shirt and beige trousers.

Even with such a relaxed outfit, the collar and unusual pocket details somehow make everything look a little more put together.

It also works beautifully with work shirts and chambray shirts. Pair it with a band-collar shirt and wide trousers, and you can take the look in a much more classic direction.

What exactly is a sack jacket?

The name “Sack Jacket” has its roots in a style of jacket that became popular in Europe and America during the 19th century.

Earlier formal coats often featured strongly shaped waists and longer skirts, creating a more structured silhouette.

Sack jackets, by comparison, offered a more natural shape and greater freedom of movement, making them suitable for everyday activities.

By the late 19th and early 20th centuries, jackets had become part of daily dress, worn in settings ranging from work to leisure.

Today, we tend to associate tailored jackets with business attire or formal occasions. Back then, however, jackets were often a much more ordinary part of a man's wardrobe.

The TICK.D.NIME takes inspiration from that period and reinterprets the character of a classic jacket in denim.

Its collar, curved front edges, and distinctive pocket arrangement all recall details found in older styles of clothing.

The fabric, however, is an original 10.5oz denim woven on vintage shuttle looms in Ibara, Okayama.

The jacket is then sewn at DALEE'S own factory in Odate, Akita.

Rather than simply reproducing an old garment, DALEE'S combines historical design ideas with its own fabric development and Japanese manufacturing expertise to create something intended for everyday wear today.
