When TCB jeans was born 13 years ago, the first jeans we made were the TCB 50's.

They were our starting point, and our first answer to "what are jeans?"

And then, as our jeans began to cross the seas, much like how Japanese cars are converted to left-hand drive when exported, the Slim50's were created with the idea of making them fit better for people overseas.

For me, the 50's are like a North Star.

Whenever I make something, I always use this model as a reference. Is the silhouette wide or narrow? Is the fabric thick or thin? What about the color? The 50's are always the benchmark for all these judgments.

And now, we've decided to add Baggy as a new silhouette to the 50's.

The inspiration came from seeing the younger staff at the factory customising the 50's pattern into a baggy style, and they looked really cool.

Seeing that, I thought, "We have to make this official." Just like mods used to shrink their jeans by wearing them in the bath to get a tight fit, or how skaters wore oversized jeans.

It reaffirmed to me how much a single pair of jeans can change its character depending on who wears it and how they wear it.

This Baggy50's is the direct result of that impactful realization. Of course, the fabric and sewing specifications are the same as the 50's. But it has a modern wide silhouette with plenty of room in the hips, thighs, and hem.

This is a pair I made because I wanted to see how the next generation would interpret our origin, the 50's, and how freely they would wear them.

Below is the product description for the 50's Jeans.

This is a standard TCB model made to replicate the paper patch of Levi's 501 50's xx. The silhouette is traced from a vintage pair owned by TCB, and the sewing threads are carefully selected one by one for their count and color.

The fabric used is approximately 13.5oz Zimbabwe cotton. The unevenness is created not by the forcibly produced slub of modern computer-controlled spinning machines, but by adjusting traditional spinning machines. The fades are characterized by thick, short lines, and when these naturally connect, they are expected to show the best vertical fading.

The slits for inserting the hidden rivets reproduce the strongest method among the many available at the time. The idea is that when the base color fades, the paper will tear, revealing a darker fabric underneath.

The waistband below the belt is not understitched but chain-stitched all the way to the end of the belt. The run-off is intentionally left out rather than tucked in.

The pocket bags from the so-called vintage era were often sewn roughly, so TCB jeans 50's also reproduce this to an extent that doesn't compromise durability.

The sewing thread uses 4 colors and 5 different thread counts. The sewing width is varied depending on the location, and there are many highlights such as machine adjustments and modifications in these jeans.

Material: Approximately 13.5oz 100% Zimbabwe Cotton

Sewing: All cotton thread (4 colors, 5 thread counts)

Leather patch Production: MADE IN JAPAN

Wearing loose jeans low on the waist like skaters do... I can't quite pull that off, but I hope young people today will have a good encounter with jeans, and I think this model could be a great catalyst for that.

Like playing the guitar, skateboarding is one of those things I've tried many times and repeatedly failed at, haha.

Even if you don't wear them low on the waist, the rise is nice and deep, and there's plenty of room in the hips, so they're also recommended for women. They look cute when paired with a tight-fitting top.

These are new arrivals, but I apologize that some sizes are already out of stock. Please wait for the next restock for sizes that are currently unavailable.

※The TCB products we have in stock are not samples, so please refrain from visiting solely for the purpose of trying them on.
