It features basic details such as the stitch work characteristic of the wartime model and the cut-off bottom of the fly. The silhouette is a slightly loose straight cut with extra room in the rise and hips.

15.8oz Samurai Cotton GL3 Selvedge Denim

The warp yarn is uneven #6, and the dye is a deep indigo color with a slightly stronger blue hue, reminiscent of denim from that era. For the weft, we use a special original uneven #5 yarn blended with our homegrown "Samurai Cotton."

Using these yarns, the fabric is carefully woven on the old-fashioned power loom "GL3," a renowned machine from Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. The GL3 is one of Japan's earliest power looms and is an extremely rare weaving machine capable of weaving the unevenness of the yarn as it is. The natural indigo color of the warp and the slubs and rough texture from the Washi (Japanese cotton) with short fibers in the weft create a very attractive denim that offers both a natural look and a rugged feel.

The selvedge is unbleached (kinari) base, with a pale pink color in the center thread, faded to resemble red, and one lamé thread incorporated to embody the pride of Samurai Selvedge Denim.

Japanese cotton, grown by ourselves, woven on Japan's earliest power loom.

The S2000HXII uses 15.8oz selvedge denim, with "Samurai Cotton" - Japanese cotton grown by Samurai Jeans themselves - mixed into the weft.

And this special yarn is woven on the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works' old-fashioned power loom, the "GL3."

This extremely rare power loom, one of Japan's earliest, doesn't over-regulate the fabric like modern looms, allowing the textures of uneven yarns and short-fiber Japanese cotton to remain in the denim as they are.

Deep yet slightly bluish indigo, with slubs and roughness from the Japanese cotton.

It's a rugged, uneven look, the exact opposite of clean denim.

The shape is a slightly loose straight cut, based on the wartime model, with extra room in the rise and hips.

What is the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works "GL3"?

The "GL3" that weaves the denim for the S2000HXII is Japan's earliest old-fashioned power loom manufactured by Toyoda Automatic Loom Works.

Unlike modern looms commonly used today, it doesn't overly control the yarn with strong, uniform tension. Instead, it allows the variations in thickness and unevenness of slub yarns to remain as part of the fabric's texture.

It is now an extremely rare loom, with very few still in operation.

Hemming Service / 裾上げについて

Hemming is available free of charge for pants purchased from our store. We use thread that is as close as possible to the original in color and thickness, and finish the hem using the same sewing method as the original garment: chain stitch for chain-stitched hems and lockstitch for lockstitched hems.
当店でお買い上げいただいたパンツの裾上げは、無料で承っております。できる限り製品のオリジナルに近い色・太さの糸を使用し、もともとの縫製仕様に合わせて、チェーンステッチ仕上げの商品はチェーンステッチ、平縫い仕上げの商品は平縫いにて仕上げます。

If you would like hemming, please measure along the inseam from the crotch seam to the hem and let us know your desired inseam length in centimeters.
裾上げをご希望の場合は、インシーム（股下の縫い合わせ部分）に沿って、股の付け根から裾までの長さを測り、ご希望の股下寸法をcmでお知らせください。

Most of the pants we carry are made from fabrics that have not undergone preshrinking or similar treatments, with an emphasis on preserving the natural character of the fabric and garment. As a result, slight differences between the left and right sides, as well as variations of a few millimeters, may occur due to the characteristics of the fabric, sewing, and washing.
当店で取り扱っているパンツの多くは、防縮加工などを施していない生地や、製品ごとの風合いを大切にした仕様となっております。そのため、生地の特性や縫製・洗いによるわずかな左右差、数ミリ程度の寸法差が生じる場合がございます。

We will finish the hem as closely as possible to your requested measurement; however, we cannot guarantee precision to the millimeter. If you require an extremely precise finished length, we recommend having the alteration performed by a specialist who can measure the garment in person.

Trying on at the store

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to ensure everyone can enjoy using our services comfortably.
