The neckline is exceptionally sturdy. It stretches when you put your head through and returns to shape at the neck. It won't stretch out easily even with repeated wear, thanks to the two-tier binder. We custom-ordered special machine attachments just for this.

The hem and cuffs feature what's commonly called "Tenchi." Recently, it's also referred to as "single," but it's not sewn with a single-stitch machine; rather, the settings of a serger are changed to sew it.

When the serger stitches are applied with loose tension and then opened up, the threads run vertically. This looks like dots, hence the name "single." It's a reproduction of a common stitching method on vintage American T-shirts.

This year, we're using a 7 oz. jersey fabric. I first used this fabric last year for a football shirt and wore it myself.

"It has that dry, tactile feel of a vintage T-shirt. It's comfortable to wear, and it's sturdy enough not to lose its shape easily. Yet, the fabric isn't so thick that it's hot; it has just the right weight."

The Running Cat T, 24SS, was a hefty 10 oz., and the 25SS was a softer 6 oz. cotton rayon blend. If you own them, please feel and compare the difference in materials.

This year, we've added a print. What should we do? While chatting with Mr. Inoue from TCB over tea, he said, "It has to be college style!" College-style animals... "That's it, Wild Cats!" I thought. I was able to design the text part, but there was no illustration.

That's where AI finally came in. I asked Chat GPT to create a college-style design based on my brown tabby cat, Ocha-kun.
Using AI, I realized that trial and error is necessary: "Close the mouth a little more," "with an angry expression," and so on. It took half a day to achieve a satisfactory design.

A smooth, dry-feel jersey fabric. With a moderate thickness, I believe you can wear it comfortably even in mid-summer.

This time, it features a stray cat design.
