Lot 802 has a slightly narrower hem width and a tapered silhouette, giving it a modern and clean look.

The denim is made from Upland cotton from the USA, both for the warp and weft.
We simply thought, "When it comes to basic jeans, they must be made from denim woven with yarn made only from American cotton!" So we started making them, but we couldn't find standard 100% American cotton yarn! So we decided to make the yarn ourselves! (Even though that means producing an enormous quantity.)

Upland cotton is a very basic cotton. We import it to Japan, scan the slub yarn shape found in vintage jeans, and determine the yarn shape. We also control the slubs so they are not too strong.

The finished yarn is rope-dyed. It's pure indigo dyed without any pre-dyeing or post-dyeing. The color characteristic this time is a relatively strong blue with less redness.

Furthermore, the fabric is woven on a power loom with selvage. By weaving with low tension, the fabric acquires a fluffy texture, which helps preserve the inherent character of the yarn and cotton itself. The finished fabric is a "kibata" (loom state) denim that is not sanforized or singed to remove fuzz. Its characteristic is that it shrinks and twists when washed. However, before shipping, it is one-washed and tumble-dried to shrink it as much as possible.

There are two patterns: straight (Lot 801) and slim tapered (Lot 802). Since the hem width is the same for about 10 centimeters from the bottom, hemming up to about 30 inches in length will not change the hem width. All stitching is done with cotton thread. For the side seams, the "komata" (the part where the left and right body panels are joined), the yoke, and the waistband attachment, thick thread is used. This specification is for strength with cotton thread, and it results in the uneven fading of the selvage and the strong puckering of the yoke. This time, when creating the fabric from scratch to make these jeans, our focus was on "being basic." To create a classic feel for the cotton, there are methods that involve mixing non-American cottons, such as from Peru or India. Even with indigo dyeing, there are ways to create different shades by pre-dyeing, but we opted not to do that and stuck with American cotton and pure indigo. As a result, the finished color is a strong blue, exactly as I envisioned. We introduce the process from raw cotton harvesting to yarn spinning, followed by rope dyeing, weaving, and sewing below.

With its clean tapered silhouette and strong bluish tint, along with an elegant slub texture, these jeans are easy to pair with dressier styles, such as Ivy style with a jacket.

There's ample room around the hips, and the hem is significantly narrower, making them ideal for customers who have volume in their hips or thighs from sports but find the waist too loose or can't wear slim-fit jeans.

*Please note that the fit below the knees is quite slim, so those with thick calves should be aware.

Many of you might love this 802 silhouette, but unfortunately, it will be discontinued this time.

It's not due to a lack of popularity, but rather because fabric production now has a three-year waiting list, and producing the 801 is all they can manage.

As this is the last shipment, we have prepared as many as possible, but once they are sold out, there will be no more. (Though it might be possible if fabric production returns to normal, but that's unlikely for the next three years.)

Whether you're a fan or have never tried them before, don't miss this opportunity.
