The design is inspired by vintage granddad shirts, band collar shirts made for British working men.
It was originally based on a shirt with a collar that could be switched, and due to its historical background, it has also been used as nightwear.
Normally it is a pullover type headgear, but this design opens at the front, making it suitable for use around town.
It is a well-made shirt with attention to detail, including a front placket and a gusseted hem.
It is inspired by the banded collar shirts made for English workers, known as vintage granddad shirts. Originally based on a shirt with a switchable collar, it has been used as nightwear due to its historical background. Normally, this is a pullover type headwear, but in this design, it has been changed to a front opening specification, making it suitable for town use. The front placket, hem gussets, and other details have been carefully incorporated to create a shirt with authenticity.
The above is reprinted from the manufacturer's website.
This seemingly pullover style is recommended for those who find pullovers a bit cumbersome.
The yoke is gathered tightly, so the dress has a generous width and can be worn loosely.
It's so hot these days in the summer that it's easy to get sunburned, so it's also recommended as a sunshade.
Of course, it can be worn all year round, so you can pair it with a vest in autumn, or wear it with a classic jacket in winter. It's a shirt that looks great no matter how you wear it.
