TCB JEANS has introduced a new BROWN DUCK version of its classic Huntsman Vest.

Inspired by hunting vests from the 1930s and 1940s, this is a wonderfully practical piece with plenty of storage.

For this version, TCB developed a custom 11.2oz duck canvas.

When you think of brown duck, a lighter, camel-colored canvas probably comes to mind. But this one is a deep chocolate brown with a subtle reddish tone.

It looks especially good over a natural-colored T-shirt.

The design features a deep V-neck, gently rounded front hem, three buttons, and generous patch pockets.

But the real attraction is the storage: eight pockets in total!

The most interesting is the half-moon pocket, which uses a large section of the vest's body.

Its left and right openings connect internally, so you can put something in on one side and retrieve it from the other.

Wallet, phone, keys, and other everyday essentials.

With this much room, you might not even need a bag for a quick trip out.

Wear it casually over a T-shirt, or layer it with a flannel shirt or hoodie.

When the weather gets colder, it also works beautifully underneath a denim jacket or coverall.

The Huntsman Vest may be a familiar TCB design, but a change of fabric gives it a completely different character.

And this Brown Duck should only get better with wear.

Bringing Vintage Duck Canvas Back to Life

The fabric used for this Huntsman Vest is an original 11.2oz duck canvas developed by TCB, inspired by vintage painter pants.

The warp uses two strands of 10-count yarn together, while the weft uses an irregular 5-count yarn.

This combination recreates the subtle horizontal irregularities found in old duck canvas.

The deep chocolate brown was also specially developed for this release.

TCB chose reactive dyeing without mercerization, allowing the fabric to develop a natural, gradually faded appearance through wear and washing.

The Huntsman Vest itself takes inspiration from a HETTRICK hunting vest dating from the 1930s–1940s.

Interestingly, the idea to revisit this style came to TCB during a trip to Sweden.

After repeatedly losing track of a passport inside a bag during the long journey, and even misplacing a hotel key card, the thought occurred: wouldn't it be nice to have a vest that could keep all those little essentials close at hand?

That experience helped inspire the return of a practical, pocket-filled vest.

Taking the functional design of an old hunting garment and making it useful for everyday life today.

It's a vintage-inspired idea that feels surprisingly relevant to modern living.

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
