Simply changing the fabric to ecru gives the Catface Trousers a surprisingly refined look.

The latest addition to TCB Jeans' CAT FACE series is made from 10.2oz undyed ecru denim.

The design itself is based on a U.S. Army-issued garment, but this ecru version isn't intended as a faithful reproduction of an original military piece.

Instead, it comes from a simple idea: if these trousers had been civilian workwear rather than military issue, perhaps an undyed version like this might have existed.

The fabric is essentially an ecru version of the denim TCB has long used for its Cathartt series. It combines a naturally uneven No. 7 warp yarn with a finer No. 16 weft, woven at a slightly lower density to bring out the irregular character of the warp.

Bits of leaf and cotton matter remain visible in the fabric, adding to the natural character of the undyed cotton.

Just changing the fabric to ecru takes away some of the rugged military feel and gives these trousers an unexpectedly elegant appearance.

Wear them a little cleaner with leather shoes, or pair them with a denim jacket or work shirt and simply let them get dirty.

They look great as a matching set, but pairing the trousers with indigo denim or hickory up top would be just as good.

Don't worry too much about keeping them clean. Just wear them.

Starting with a fresh pair and gradually adding the marks and colors of your own everyday life feels exactly right for these trousers.

What is “Ecru Denim”?

Ecru generally refers to the natural color of cotton that has not been dyed or bleached.

With conventional indigo denim, the warp yarns are dyed with indigo while the weft is usually left in a natural, undyed shade.

For this fabric, however, both the warp and weft remain undyed, allowing the natural color and character of the cotton itself to show through.

Hemming Service / 裾上げについて

Hemming is available free of charge for pants purchased from our store. We use thread that is as close as possible to the original in color and thickness, and finish the hem using the same sewing method as the original garment: chain stitch for chain-stitched hems and lockstitch for lockstitched hems.
当店でお買い上げいただいたパンツの裾上げは、無料で承っております。できる限り製品のオリジナルに近い色・太さの糸を使用し、もともとの縫製仕様に合わせて、チェーンステッチ仕上げの商品はチェーンステッチ、平縫い仕上げの商品は平縫いにて仕上げます。

If you would like hemming, please measure along the inseam from the crotch seam to the hem and let us know your desired inseam length in centimeters.
裾上げをご希望の場合は、インシーム（股下の縫い合わせ部分）に沿って、股の付け根から裾までの長さを測り、ご希望の股下寸法をcmでお知らせください。

Most of the pants we carry are made from fabrics that have not undergone preshrinking or similar treatments, with an emphasis on preserving the natural character of the fabric and garment. As a result, slight differences between the left and right sides, as well as variations of a few millimeters, may occur due to the characteristics of the fabric, sewing, and washing.
当店で取り扱っているパンツの多くは、防縮加工などを施していない生地や、製品ごとの風合いを大切にした仕様となっております。そのため、生地の特性や縫製・洗いによるわずかな左右差、数ミリ程度の寸法差が生じる場合がございます。

We will finish the hem as closely as possible to your requested measurement; however, we cannot guarantee precision to the millimeter. If you require an extremely precise finished length, we recommend having the alteration performed by a specialist who can measure the garment in person.
できる限りご指定の寸法に沿って加工いたしますが、ミリ単位での厳密な仕上がりを保証するものではございません。非常に細かな寸法精度を必要とされる場合は、実際に商品を確認しながら加工できる専門店等での裾上げをおすすめいたします。

Trying on at the store

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.

No Forwarding Services

We do not ship to freight forwarding addresses.
