SPIRAL COMMENT

Inspired by 1940s work jackets, the original proportions have been reconsidered and reconstructed in G&F Co.’s own style.

The front features large pleats and two generously sized patch pockets positioned low on the body.

At first glance, it’s a very simple denim jacket, but classic workwear details remain throughout, including triple-stitch construction, a cinch back, and a traditional sharp-prong buckle at the rear.

The fabric is the same 13oz denim used for the LOT101 DENIM PANTS, developed to recreate the character of denim from the period.

It isn’t excessively heavy, making it an easy jacket to wear over anything from a shirt to a sweatshirt.

Personally, we’d wear it with the matching LOT101 DENIM PANTS.

Even worn as a full denim setup, the classic workwear design gives it a different character from the usual denim-on-denim look.

Of course, the jacket works just as well on its own with chinos or military trousers.

It keeps the character of an old work jacket while making it easy to enjoy as everyday clothing today.

What is a sharp-prong buckle?

The LOT101 DENIM JACKET features a cinch back, and the metal hardware used to secure it is a traditional sharp-prong buckle.

It is a type of buckle found on older workwear and denim, with sharp prongs that pierce directly through the fabric to hold the strap in place.

Rather than using pre-punched holes like a modern belt, the prongs can be set directly into the fabric at the desired position to adjust the fit around the waist.

It is an extremely simple and practical construction, but one that is rarely seen on modern clothing today.

Like the cinch back itself, it was originally a functional detail designed to adjust the fit.

Today, that same practical construction has become one of the details we associate with vintage workwear.

That is another part of what makes the LOT101 so interesting.

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.

We do not ship to freight forwarding addresses.
