We have decided to renew the S40’s Jacket that we have been making for the past five years.

Our goal at the time was to offer something “easy to wear” by referencing vintage pieces while slightly streamlining the short length and thick armholes.

However, as time passed and we re-engaged with vintage items, we began to feel that we wanted to create an S40’s with the original silhouette.

The new S40's has the same length, body width, and sleeve angle as the vintage original.

Since the fabric remains the same, those who own S40's Jeans can continue to wear them as a setup.

Of course, I believe there are those who prefer the previous silhouette, and others who will say, "I've been waiting for this!"

In baseball, a home run is a home run to everyone 100% of the time.

But one of the interesting things about making clothes is that the boundary between a home run and a strikeout isn't always clear. That is precisely why we believe that our raison d'être at TCB—and what is most important—is to keep throwing what we consider the "perfect strike" with all our heart.

When we produced the 50's Jeans in 2012, I wondered who would buy jeans made by an unknown TCB; I am grateful that such a TCB is now receiving requests like this.

At the time, I felt a strong attraction to perfected vintage items like the 506XX and 507XX, but as we reproduced various models—including two from L Company—I became more drawn than ever to the charm and historical background inherent in the imperfection of the "Simplified" models.

Given this personal evolution, we are releasing this model with full confidence.

The fabric is also new, a 14oz denim produced under the new TCB WW2 designation. It is a custom-made fabric for the S40's. Please see the photo section for details on the fabric and other specifications.

*The T-back style is available from size 40 and up.

Please note that the length and other specs increase between sizes 38 and 40, so if you are considering sizing up, we recommend checking the length.

*The Red Tab specification has changed, and it is currently made with indigo-dyed thread.

Why do things that are cool remain cool, regardless of trends? I believe the answer might lie within such a simple denim jacket.

Trying on at the store

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to ensure everyone can enjoy using our services comfortably.

We do not ship to freight forwarding addresses.
