Short in the front, long in the back.

G&F Co. "WORK VEST / KHAKI".

This is a shearling-lined vest based on workwear designs.

The outer shell is made of 100% organic cotton fatigue canvas.

The interior is lined with a 50% alpaca and 50% wool shearling.

The first interesting feature is this unique silhouette.

The front is cropped to about the belt line, while the back is cut longer to cover the lower back, creating a significant difference in length.

It looks like a clean, short vest from the front, but the hem extends toward the back when viewed from the side.

This balance is remarkably stylish.

The front features five buttons.

It is equipped with welt pockets on the chest and waist, which keep the surface looking clean, and an adjustable strap on the back to refine the fit at the waist.

And, of course, the shearling lining is an eye-catcher.

It is a plush, deep-pile lining made of an equal blend of alpaca and wool.

As you can see in the photos, the shearling peeks out slightly from the armholes and the back hem, which serves as a great accent.

Since it is sleeveless, a great advantage of this vest is that even with such a substantial lining, it doesn't feel as heavy as a jacket.

It can be worn over shirts, or layered over sweatshirts and knitwear.

I feel like if you wear it under a coverall, it could get you through quite cold weather as well.

In the photos, it is paired with the G&F Co. "WORK SHIRT / KEMONO KASURI," and this combination is highly recommended.

It also works perfectly thrown over a colorful flannel shirt.

Warm, yet not as heavy as a jacket.

I have a feeling this will be a staple piece from autumn through winter and into early spring.

Surprisingly hard to find in vintage clothing.

Vests with shearling or pile linings do exist among old workwear and outdoor gear.

However, when you search for them in vintage shops, you often can't find your size, or it's rare to come across one in good condition.

Even if the outer fabric is intact, the inner shearling is often crushed from years of wear, or it has thinning, insect damage, or general wear and tear.

Linings made with natural fibers, in particular, tend to show their age and condition much more than the outer shell.

That is exactly why being able to wear in a plush, 50% alpaca/50% wool shearling lining from its brand-new state, while still enjoying the atmosphere of old workwear, is one of the greatest charms of this vest.

The fatigue canvas outer will adapt to your body, gradually developing scuffs and wrinkles.

At the same time, the inner shearling will also conform to the wearer's body.

It's not about searching for a vintage piece, but about making it vintage yourself.

This is a vest that truly suits that way of enjoying fashion.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
