The HENRY, one of BROTHER BRIDGE's signature models, returns in a special TEACORE edition featuring horsebutt leather from ATLANTICA.
Inspired by athletic footwear from the 1920s, HENRY combines a sporty silhouette with the refined character of traditional British shoemaking.
One of its most distinctive features is the graceful line of eyelets and slim laces flowing from the toe toward the ankle.
It's a design unlike that of most lace-up boots, with beautiful curves that give the shoe its unmistakable character.
The clean toe and ankle-hugging silhouette create a look that's sporty yet surprisingly dressy.
For this edition, BROTHER BRIDGE has chosen horsebutt leather from ATLANTICA, produced through a slow, full vegetable-tanning process in traditional tanning pits.
The result is leather with a smooth grain surface and remarkable suppleness.
And then there's the TEACORE finish.
As the black surface gradually wears with use, the brown leather underneath begins to show through.
Just imagine how those beautiful lines will look after years of wear. That's something to look forward to!
HENRY is constructed using the Goodyear welt method, with a leather sole protected by a half-rubber sole and finished with BROTHER BRIDGE's original heel top lift.
Naturally, it looks great with jeans, but it would also pair beautifully with chinos or wool trousers.
Wear it with wider trousers and let just the toe peek out, or choose a slightly shorter hem to show off that distinctive lacing.
Not as rugged as a work boot, yet less formal than a traditional dress shoe.

Pit-Tanned Horsebutt and the Beauty of Teacore Leather
This edition of HENRY features horsebutt leather produced by ATLANTICA.
Horsebutt comes from the hindquarters of a horse, an area known for its dense fiber structure and suitability for durable footwear.
ATLANTICA uses a traditional pit-tanning process, immersing the hides in vegetable tannins over an extended period.
It's a time-consuming method, but one that allows the leather to be tanned gradually while preserving the integrity of its fibers.
Vegetable-tanned leather can often feel quite firm. ATLANTICA, however, incorporates oils thoroughly into the leather to achieve a smooth grain surface and a supple feel.
Another fascinating feature is its teacore finish.
Unlike leather dyed black all the way through, teacore leather retains a brown base beneath its black surface.
As the shoes are worn, friction gradually reveals hints of brown, particularly around the toes and areas where the leather creases.
Of course, teacore doesn't mean the leather will immediately turn brown.
The way it develops depends on how you wear and care for your shoes.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.
Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.
For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
