Lot 802 features a slightly narrower hem and a tapered silhouette that creates a modern, clean look.

The denim is made from Upland cotton, both warp and weft. We started with the simple idea that "when it comes to basic jeans, it must be denim woven from yarn made purely from American cotton!" but then found that there was no standard 100% American cotton yarn available! So, we decided to make the yarn ourselves! (This involved an enormous quantity.)

Upland cotton is a very basic type of cotton. This is imported to Japan, and the yarn's shape is determined by scanning the slub yarn found in vintage jeans. This slub is also controlled to be not too strong.

The completed yarn is rope-dyed with pure indigo, without any pre-dyeing or post-dyeing. The distinctive color of this batch is relatively low in redness and high in blueness.

Furthermore, the fabric is woven on a power loom with selvage. By weaving with low tension, it achieves a fluffy texture that preserves the inherent characteristics of the yarn and cotton itself. The finished fabric is raw denim that has not undergone shrink-proofing or singeing to remove fuzz. It shrinks and twists when washed. However, before shipping, it is one-washed and tumble-dried to shrink it as much as possible.

There are two patterns: the straight Lot 801 and the slim tapered Lot 802. The hem width is the same for about 10 cm from the bottom, so hemming up to about 30 inches in length will not change the hem width. All sewing is done with cotton thread. Heavy-gauge thread is used for the side seams, the so-called "small crotch" where the left and right body pieces are joined, the yoke, and the waistband. This specification is to provide strength with cotton thread, and it results in the uneven puckering of the selvage and strong puckering of the yoke. This time, our goal when creating the fabric from scratch and making these jeans was "to be basic." To create a classic feel, there are methods of blending cotton other than American cotton, such as from Peru or India. Even with indigo dyeing, there are ways to create a different feel with pre-dyeing, but we chose not to do any of that, sticking to American cotton and pure indigo. As a result, the finished color is a strong blue, just as I envisioned. The process from sourcing raw cotton to spinning the yarn, and then rope dyeing, weaving, and sewing, is introduced below.

With its clean tapered silhouette and strong blue hue, along with an elegant slub texture, these jeans are easy to pair with dressier styles, such as an Ivy style with a jacket.

They offer ample room around the hips and a significantly narrower hem, making them ideal for customers who have a larger hip or thigh area due to sports, and thus struggle with waistbands being too loose or finding slim-fit pants uncomfortable.

※Please note that the fit is quite slim below the knee, so those with thick calves should be aware.

Many of you may love this 802 silhouette, but unfortunately, it will be discontinued with this production run.

It's not due to lack of popularity; rather, fabric production now has a three-year waiting list, and producing the 801 is all they can manage.

As this is the final delivery, we have prepared as many as possible, but once they are sold out, there will be no more. *We might be able to produce them again if fabric production returns to normal, but that's unlikely for the next three years.

Whether you're a long-time fan or have never tried them before, don't miss this opportunity.
