I simply started making jeans with the idea that "basic jeans are denim woven with threads made only from American cotton!", but I couldn't find the standard threads made from 100% American cotton! So I decided to just make the threads myself! (It produces a huge amount of cotton.) Apland cotton is an extremely basic cotton.

This is imported to Japan, where the uneven thread shapes found in vintage jeans are scanned to determine the thread shape. This is also controlled so that the unevenness is not too strong.

The finished yarn is rope dyed. Pure indigo dyeing without base dyeing or piece dyeing.

The characteristic of this color is that it has relatively little red and a strong blue tint.

Furthermore, the fabric is woven on a power loom with selvedge.

Weaving at low tension creates a fluffy texture while preserving the character of the thread and, moreover, the cotton itself.

The finished fabric is Kibata denim, which is not shrink- proofed or singed to remove fuzz. It is characterized by shrinking and twisting when washed. However, before shipping, it is washed once and dried in a dryer to shrink it as much as possible.

There are two patterns: straight Lot801 and slim tapered Lot802.

The hem width remains the same for about 10 cm from the hem, so the hem width will not change even if you shorten the hem up to a length of about 30 inches.

All sewing is done with cotton thread. Thick thread is used for the side seams, the "komata" where the left and right body parts join together, the yoke, and the obi attachment.

This is done to add strength to the cotton thread, but it also results in the uneven texture of the selvedge and strong puckering in the yoke.

This time, we made the fabric from scratch and made the jeans with the aim of keeping it "basic." Cotton gives off a classic feel, so there are also ways to mix cotton other than American cotton, such as from Peru or India.

Even with indigo dyeing, there are ways to create a different color from pure indigo by using a base dye, but I didn't do that and stuck to American cotton and pure indigo. As a result, the finished color has a strong blue color, just as I imagined.

The above is reprinted from the WORKERS official website.

With a clean tapered silhouette, strong blue tones, and an elegant uneven texture, these jeans are easy to match with neat styles, such as an Ivy League style paired with a jacket.

There is plenty of room around the hips, and the hem is narrow, so it is recommended for customers who have volume around the hips and thighs from sports, and are worried that the waist will be loose or that they cannot wear slimmer pants. *The pants are quite slim from the knees down, so please be careful if you have thick calves.
