This is the new color Stone of the Stay Gold Chino, based on 41 Khaki.
This time it's a darker, blue-ish gray.
The TCB Jeans Stay Gold Chino is inspired by the workwear actually worn on American construction sites. It reinterprets the authentic uniform culture of truck drivers and construction workers from a Japanese fashion perspective. Instead of the ruggedness of work pants, it features 41Khaki's classic chino details, making it the perfect palate cleanser for a denim outfit. It pairs perfectly with denim jackets and coveralls, making it a perfect everyday companion.
□Sewing
The open pocket is made with 2mm wide welts, inspired by the Vintage 41 Kahki.
The chain stitch on the obi is done in one go on the top and bottom, which is an interesting difference from civilian workwear.
There is a little bit of loose fabric behind the stitching under the obi, making it wobbly.
I think this is probably a marbelt specification, a technique used by tailors to make suit slacks that prevent the shirt from riding up when tucked in.
It's easy to see why it is officially called officer chino.
*Most pockets on jeans are usually sewn with TCB. Welt pockets have more parts and require a much more labor-intensive process. There are automatic sewing machines that sew welt pockets, but we do them all by hand to give them a slightly uneven opening and a vintage look. When I occasionally make a different pair of pants, I really appreciate how easy and quick jeans are to sew.
□ Label
Western costumes used in movies are sometimes found in second-hand clothing stores.
In preparation for this long-awaited return, we will be delivering it with an Eastern Costume label, based on the fantasy that TCB was chosen as the supplier of costumes at the time.
□Size
According to TCB pants, the waist circumference and rise measurements are similar to those of the 30's Jeans C.
Same size as 30's Jeans
50s Jeans/One size down from 40s Jeans
That's about the recommended amount.
*Jeans stretch 1-3 inches as they wear in, so the most accurate way to choose your jeans is to measure your inside waist circumference and use that number as a guide.
