“USARP” Operation Deep Freeze 70 x 70
Attention personnel. In support of ongoing admiration for the USARP — United States Antarctic Research Project — preparations have been completed for the production of a new issue bandanna. Initial design phase commenced utilizing mapping layouts inspired by rare state souvenir kerchiefs that once circulated in limited numbers across the continental United States. Primary visual structure centers on a full Antarctic chart arrangement. Graphic treatment draws influence from 1950s industrial and workwear bandannas, selected for both design-durability of presentation and period-correct field character. Corner sectors feature heavy ice formations surrounded by drifting pack ice. Central command position displays an Antarctic field explorer-scientist accompanied by his assigned penguin associate. Both positioned for maximum morale and operational spirit. Final result: a souvenir-style utility bandanna intended for summer deployment, capable of delivering a psychological cooling effect during warm-weather conditions. Authorized for year-round civilian wear and adaptable to individual field styling at the discretion of the operator.
Attention, everyone. In continuous homage and interest to USARP—United States Antarctic Research Project—preparations have been completed for the production of a new issued bandana. During the initial design phase, a map-based layout was adopted, referencing state-specific souvenir kerchiefs that once circulated in small numbers throughout the United States. The primary visual structure is centered around a comprehensive map of Antarctica. The graphic treatment refers to and studies the designs of 1950s industrial and workwear bandanas. The design takes into account visibility, design durability, and the characteristics of outdoor equipment from that period. The four corner sections feature large ice blocks and drift ice. In the central command position, one Antarctic explorer-scientist and one accompanying penguin associate are placed. Both are positioned to boost morale and maintain the spirit of exploration. The final specification is a souvenir-style utility bandana completed for summer deployment. It has the ability to provide a psychological cooling effect in high-temperature environments. This equipment is officially approved for year-round civilian use. Each individual is permitted to adapt it to their preferred attire.

This bandana is packed with the playful spirit characteristic of One Ear Brand.
The design is based on souvenir bandanas that were once sold in various states across America.
Taking inspiration from vintage bandanas depicting state maps and famous landmarks, this design boldly features "Antarctica" as its theme.
In the center, you'll find an expedition member and a penguin.
Icebergs and drift ice adorn the four corners.
The entire piece is structured as a map of the Antarctic continent, making it a joy to behold.
What I personally love is the subtly understated humor characteristic of One Ear Brand.
While based on authentic vintage designs, there's a charmingly amusing atmosphere, making it not just something to wear around your neck, but also a piece so refined you'd want to frame it.
It pairs well with blue denim and chambray, and is recommended as a refreshing accent for summer.

What is USARP (United States Antarctic Research Project)?
USARP (United States Antarctic Research Project) was an Antarctic observation project launched by the U.S. government in the late 1950s.
Serious Antarctic observation began with the "International Geophysical Year" held from 1957 to 1958, and research was conducted in a wide range of fields including geology, meteorology, glaciology, and biology.
The title of this bandana, **"Operation Deep Freeze"**, is known as the name of the U.S. Navy operation that transported supplies to and supported observations at Antarctic bases.
One Ear Brand incorporates this historical background into the design of a 1950s souvenir bandana, expressing it with a slightly humorous worldview.

What are souvenir bandanas?
In the United States between the 1930s and 1960s, many "souvenir bandanas" depicting maps and famous landmarks of various states, national parks, and tourist destinations were sold.
They were not only popular as tourist souvenirs but also used as practical items, making them highly sought-after collector's items in today's vintage market.
This bandana also features a design that reinterprets these souvenir bandanas in a modern way.
"What if there were souvenir bandanas for Antarctica?"
This is a work characteristic of One Ear Brand, born from such a playful idea.
