The Prisoner Coat from WORKERS.

Inspired by a vintage coat once known as the "Prisoner Coat" in secondhand clothing shops, this piece brings an old-school design into everyday wear.

The slightly offset front, reminiscent of an N-1 deck jacket, large D-shaped pockets, and softly rounded collar give it a distinctive character without being overly complicated.

Compared to the earlier version, WORKERS has added more room through the body and armholes, making it easy to throw on over a sweatshirt or a chunky sweater.

The fabric is WORKERS' original 14.7oz, 100% wool melton.

Its bold black and charcoal grey check has a strong presence while remaining understated and easy to coordinate.

Substantial and warm, yet with just enough softness and flexibility to make it comfortable to wear.

The metal buttons are made by the historic Waterbury Button Company in the USA, adding another authentic touch.

Naturally, it looks great with jeans or military trousers, but it also pairs beautifully with wool trousers for a slightly smarter look.

If tailored jackets aren't really your thing, but you're looking for a good winter coat to throw over your favorite sweatshirt or sweater, this might be just what you need.

Vintage Character, Modern Comfort

The Prisoner Coat takes its inspiration from a vintage coat once referred to by that name in the secondhand clothing market.

Its distinctive offset front and generously sized D-shaped pockets reflect the practical design of traditional workwear.

For this version, WORKERS revisited the relatively compact fit of its earlier model, adding more room through the body and armholes to make winter layering easier and more comfortable.

The outer fabric is WORKERS' original 14.7oz wool melton, developed with vintage wool garments in mind.

The surface is lightly brushed, giving the substantial fabric a softer texture and a touch of flexibility.

Inside, the body is lined with cotton twill, while smooth polyester twill is used for the sleeves to make putting the coat on and taking it off easier.

American-made metal buttons from Waterbury complete the classic look.

Preserving the distinctive character of vintage clothing while adapting the fit for modern everyday life.

It's a thoughtful balance of tradition and practicality, and very much what WORKERS does best.

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.

We do not ship to freight forwarding addresses.
