Previously, we made military pants that were "commonly called M43" and only had cargo pockets on the sides.

Separately, when I saw a post from a vintage clothing enthusiast whom I arbitrarily call "the shirt god" on Instagram, I noticed that the M43 he had had front pockets, which shouldn't have been there.
I messaged him after a long time and he showed me the details of each part.

Was it a test sample? Was it officially delivered? Its history is unknown. I took the front pocket specification as an idea.

The buttons and fabric are based on the M43 I made previously, with a herringbone pattern + tack buttons. The individual he showed me had completely different fabric and buttons.

Instead of a reproduction, we materialized the idea of "it would be convenient if M43 with side cargo pockets also had front pockets." Since there are no back pockets, the pants are lighter. The hip area doesn't feel bulky.

It's a well-balanced specification that makes me regret, "Why didn't I think of it myself?"

The denim uses a brown-dyed weft thread, also about 10 oz. The fabric is inspired by so-called "military denim" which appears entirely dark black. There are various theories, such as "they had no choice but to use threads with low whiteness for the weft" or "by using dyed threads for the weft, the whole thing was made to look dark black and hide dirt," but the truth is unknown. However, the weft clearly has a different color than white/ecru denim.

The product is one-washed.
