I've been thinking about how to make non-itchy wool pants for about 10 years now, and now I've finally made it into a reality. The rest of the pants are made from Brown Corduroy, and are a part of the Workers Jacket set.

If you sew a split seam to hold the lining, the outer fabric will inevitably come out on the side of the body. Turning up the bottom is OK because you're wearing pants. Turning up the sides or inside is itchy and won't do. So, turning up the sides or inside or using an interlock seam is a good idea. This way the lining will show on the inside. But if you do that, the hem will be too thick and you won't be able to finish it with a double hem!!! Switching? Hmm, not so good. I was worried about this, so I called the factory,

"It's a common thing for ladies to do, where you put in an intercourt up to halfway and then over-cut from there and then finish off with a split." That's it!!!

The design involves adding tucks in the front to create a rounded hip shape. By creating a rounded shape here, we were able to eliminate darts in the back. Because the fabric is extra thick corduroy and wool, we didn't want to have darts on the back and pockets, as this would not be neat.

The hem width is about 20cm, slightly narrow.

The hem on the sample is double hem to fit the model, but mass-produced items will only be serged. The length including seam allowance is 91 cm. Depending on the width of the double hem, it can be double hem to about 80 cm.

The front is opened with a YKK zipper. The fabric is thick, so a button fly is a bit difficult and we prioritize ease of use. To go with these pants, we plan to make a tailored jacket next year using some of the same fabrics. If you're someone who wanted a regular tailored jacket instead of this year's WORKERS Jacket, please buy the pants first and wait.

These are thick corduroy with a high thread count. If you're looking for warm pants, these are the ones to go for. You'll be amazed at the fabric, specifications, and price! They're cotton corduroy, so they're not itchy, but they do have a lining. Because corduroy is cut, they're surprisingly breathable, making them a great choice for winter pants.

These pants have a locking finish that requires hemming. Please let us know your desired inseam measurement when ordering. We will hem them for free.

Double finishing is possible, but this corduroy fabric is too thick and may be a bit too bulky. Please specify your preference.
