TCB 30's Jeans C
The fabric is thicker than other TCB jeans. The silhouette is wide and the rise is shallow in the back, so it is recommended for those who like the look of wearing them low on the waist.
What is C?
The 1937 vintage used as reference is the 501XXC. What does the "C" mean? It means that it has concealed rivets. What is a "Concealed Revet's"? It is a hidden rivet that is hammered into the base of the back pocket.
Furthermore, the vintage piece used as reference did not yet have the special hidden rivets, but instead used the regular rivets that are also used in other places, with the heads crushed to cover the pockets, so we have also reproduced this.
[Back pocket stitching]
By adopting concealed rivets, the stitching on the back pocket has also been changed from a double-needle parallel stitch to a single-needle stitch that avoids the rivets.
Also, since the shapes of vintage pockets are different on the left and right sides, we went to the trouble of creating separate patterns for the left and right pockets and producing them separately.
[Cinch back]
The suspender buttons are no longer available in the '37 model, but the back cinch is still there. The buttons are of the pin type, so when you purchase them, just stab them in place. You can also use a belt by passing them under the belt loops and fastening them in place.
[Wrapping stitching]
Based on vintage sewing, stitching is done at 1/4 inch. Body height is right-high.
[Crotch rivet]
The crotch rivets, which were present until the war, are still in place.
[Coin pocket]
The stitching on the ears of the coin pocket is a single edge stitch. Perhaps because there is only one stitch, or because the space between the obi and the coin pocket is narrow, the coin pocket somehow looks large.
[Cloth]
It even reproduces the front pocket fabric, which should normally be parallel to the obi, being at an angle.
[Small thighs]
It is said that the seam allowance on the back of the thigh is not finished on the war model, and the 37 model is the same. It is finished with a raw edge.
[Crotch bar]
The early 37 model does not have a latch where the crotch seam overlaps. It seems to be there on the later 37 model. This is a reproduction of the early 37 model, so there is no latch.
[Belt loop]
A sturdy belt loop made from the same fabric as the main body. The needle width is 5.6cm (7/32 inch), and the belt loop width is 1.5cm. The mid-high specification allows you to enjoy the center hit.
【button】
These white iron buttons are tin-plated. With use, the plating will peel off and the solid iron will rust and turn brown.
【material】
100% American cotton. Both warp and weft threads are No. 6. 14.1 oz.
It feels like it's a little thicker.
Irregular threads are often used for the weft, but this time the same thread is used, so it is expected to have spotted drops rather than vertical drops. It is also thickly woven, so it looks like it will be comfortable to wear.
The vintage weave, which also referenced the structure of the selvedge, has been reproduced exactly, down to the very last thread.
*The numbers in the above size chart are based on measurements of the actual items we received. There may be errors in the measurements, so please use them as a reference only.
■Regarding sizing, these jeans have a medium rise and are worn at the normal waist position (between the belly button and the hip bones), so it is most reliable to choose the size based on your nude waist and the inner circumference of your jeans.
Since this is a raw fabric, if you start wearing them in a tight size, it may take up to 2 to 3 inches to break in. Also, among all the jeans that TCB has released, this is the widest in the thigh area, and the fabric is very stiff, so when you wear them, they give a wide, unfashionable impression. I think this model looks great not only when worn just right, but also when worn 2 to 3 sizes larger and wider.
These jeans are made from the same fabric as the 30's Jacket that will be released at the same time, so you can wear them as a set. Please consider these jeans and jackets for this fall.
