When TCB jeans was founded 13 years ago, the first jeans we made were the TCB 50's.

This was our starting point and our first answer to the question, "What are jeans?"

Then, when our jeans began to be shipped overseas, Slim50's was born with the idea of ​​making jeans that would fit more easily overseas, just as Japanese cars are converted to left-hand drive when exported.

The 50's are like a North Star to me.

Whenever I create something, I always think about it based on this model. Is the silhouette wide or narrow? Is the fabric thick or thin? What about the color? The 50s are always the axis of my judgment for all of these things.

And now, we have decided to add Baggy as a new silhouette to the 50's range.

It all started when I saw some young people at the site customizing 50's patterns and wearing them in a baggy style, which I thought was really cool.

When I saw that, I thought, "I have to make this into a proper style," just like how mods used to wear jeans in the past, by taking a bath with them on to shrink them and then wearing them in tight jeans, or how skaters used to wear them in oversized sizes.

I felt like I was reminded once again that even the same pair of pants can look completely different depending on who wears them and how they are worn.

The Baggy 50's is the product of that impact. Of course, the fabric and stitching are the same as the 50's. However, it has a modern, wide silhouette with ample room in the hips, thighs, and hem.

We created this pair of shoes because we wanted to see how the next generation would digest and wear our 50's origins.

Below is the product description for 50's Jeans.

This classic TCB model was created with the aim of recreating the 50s xx paper patch of Levi's 501. The silhouette was traced from a vintage item owned by TCB, and the stitching thread count and color were also carefully selected and used in each area.

The fabric used is approximately 13.5oz Zimbabwe cotton. It is not the currently popular computer-generated unevenness that is created by adjusting a traditional spinning machine. The texture is characterized by thick, short folds, which, when naturally connected into lines, create the most beautiful vertical folds.

The cuts made to insert the hidden rivets are the strongest method available at the time. The idea is that the paper will tear as the base color fades, revealing the darker fabric underneath.

The obi around the waist is not sewn with a base stitch, but is sewn with a chain stitch all the way to the end of the obi. The collar loop is left exposed on purpose, not tucked inside.

The lining of vintage jeans is often roughly sewn, so the TCB jeans 50's are reproduced to the extent that there are no problems with strength.

The jeans are sewn using four different colors of thread and five different thread counts. These jeans have many interesting features, such as changing the stitching width depending on the stitching area, and adjusting and modifying the sewing machine.
