This classic TCB model was created to replicate the 1950s Levi's 501 XX with a paper patch.

We traced the silhouette from vintage pairs owned by TCB, and even selected the sewing thread size and color for each section to match the originals.

The denim used is approximately 13.5 oz Zimbabwean cotton. Instead of the forcibly created irregularities common in modern computer-aided production, these are achieved through adjustments on traditional spinning machines. The fades are characterized by thick, short patterns that, as they naturally connect into lines, promise to display excellent vertical fading.

It features a relaxed silhouette with a deep rise and a slight taper toward the hem.

The cut for the hidden rivets reproduces the highest-strength method among the many used at the time.

The paper patch is processed entirely by hand. The concept is that as the base color fades, the paper will tear, revealing the darker fabric beneath.

The area under the waistband is sewn with a chain stitch all the way to the ends without base stitching. We intentionally leave the thread ends (kara-kan) hanging rather than tucking them in.

The pocket lining (slekis) of the vintage era was often roughly sewn, so the TCB jeans 50's reproduces this, while still maintaining sufficient strength.

We use four thread colors and five thread sizes for construction. These jeans are filled with highlights, from the varying stitch widths in different areas to the specialized adjustments and modifications of our sewing machines.

The red tab has been changed to an indigo tab.

Trying on at the store

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.

We do not ship to freight forwarding addresses.
