The Tompkins Sweat series has sadly been discontinued due to the retirement of the craftsman.

In order to revive this rare fabric, a knitting factory in Wakayama focused on sinker knitting machines and created the new LOOP & WEFT Old Sinker Sweat series using Japanese-made sinker machines from the 1970s and special know-how.

While inheriting the unique fluffy texture of Tompkins Sweat, this original brushed fleece has evolved to overcome the disadvantages of old, outdated knitting machines by taking advantage of the unique strengths of the sinker machine to create a beautiful loop structure and increased stability of the fabric, which is less likely to lose its shape after shrinkage and wearing.

The texture is reminiscent of vintage sweatshirts and the character improves with age. This special fleece lining allows you to experience the unique fluffy, warm and comfortable material the moment you put it on or around your neck.

The shape is based on a double V-gusset add-on parka featuring four-needle stitching.

Classic details have been painstakingly reconstructed, with the front and back of the body hollowed out to create a V-shaped gusset with a four-needle sewn-on rib, a hood attached to a binder-style crew neck, a kangaroo pocket with a lock-locked edge and two-needle stitching, and thick ribbing.The thread color scheme is different on the front and back, and the four-needle flat seam stitching is done with skilled techniques to further enhance the design.

The silhouette is a regular fit with just the right amount of room in the body and armholes, making it easy to wear while also providing a good balance for layering.

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
