The “Garage T-shirt” has exactly the kind of playful name you would expect from Fit's Like A Hug.

At first glance, it is an extremely simple plain T-shirt, but the fabric is a substantial 7.6oz raffy cotton jersey.

The Orange and Bottle Green colors featured here are garment-dyed.

Once you actually handle the fabric, you can feel the difference. It has a dry, slightly coarse and rugged hand. The yarn-dyed White and Navy versions use the same 7.6oz fabric but feel dry yet noticeably softer, while these two colors have a tougher, more utilitarian character.

With this kind of texture, the name “Garage T-shirt” starts to make perfect sense.

The inspiration behind the colors is just as interesting.

Orange comes from vintage USARP bags and equipment, while Bottle Green takes its cues from wine bottles and those old green plastic army men.

The fit is straightforward and standard, with a slightly tighter neckline designed to sit above the collarbone.

The colors and the texture both feel a little like a piece of gear.

Wear it hard with denim or military trousers and don't worry too much about keeping it pristine.

And according to Jonathan:

“It’s thick, but man, this thing dries fast.”

Same 7.6oz Fabric, But a Different Feel

The Garage T-shirt is made from 7.6oz 100% raffy cotton jersey.

Raffy cotton incorporates recycled cotton fibers recovered during the spinning process, giving the fabric a naturally distinctive character.

The yarn used for this fabric is also spun using MVS (Murata Vortex Spinner) technology.

This spinning method uses a vortex of air to form the yarn, helping reduce surface fuzz while providing excellent abrasion resistance and quick-drying performance.

For the Garage T-shirt, the result is a fabric that retains a slightly full, substantial feel while remaining dry to the touch and tough enough for everyday wear.

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
