DELUXEWARE's ever-popular SPZ-00 FULLZIP PARKA is back at Spiral, this time in two new colors: D.GREEN and DM NAVY.

The real star of this hoodie is its incredibly substantial 20oz loopwheel cotton fleece.

Slowly knitted on vintage loopwheel machines in Wakayama, Japan, the fabric has an impressive weight and density while retaining the softness that makes loopwheel fleece so special.

The inside is brushed for extra warmth, making it a particularly welcome companion during the colder months.

Despite its heavyweight construction, the silhouette is surprisingly neat and well-balanced.

The shoulders and sleeves are designed for comfortable movement, so there's much more to this hoodie than simply being thick and warm.

A full-length zipper makes it easy to put on and take off, while the generous hood and two front pockets keep things practical.

With no prints or unnecessary decoration, the fabric itself takes center stage.

D.GREEN is a deep, understated green that looks fantastic with a natural-colored T-shirt and beige chinos.

DM NAVY has a slightly muted, beautifully relaxed shade of navy that pairs effortlessly with jeans or work pants.

How Do You Sew a 20oz Loopwheel Hoodie?

DELUXEWARE's SPZ series is manufactured at ORDUCT, the brand's own sewing factory in Odate, Akita Prefecture.

The fabric is an exceptionally heavyweight 20oz cotton fleece, knitted on traditional loopwheel machines in Wakayama.

These old machines operate at an extremely slow pace, making them unsuitable for mass production. For the SPZ series, however, that traditional process is used to create an unusually dense fabric with remarkable substance and warmth.

Of course, sewing fabric this thick presents its own challenges.

A full-zip hoodie is particularly demanding, with its long front opening and carefully shaped hem.

DELUXEWARE developed a special pattern that accounts for the way the fabric contracts as it passes through the sewing process.

Certain sections even require two passes of stitching along the same seam, with experienced craftspeople making precise adjustments throughout production.

The sewing is carried out using a 1950s UNION SPECIAL flatseamer.

This vintage machine helps create flatter, less bulky seams, improving both comfort and the overall finish of the garment.

At first glance, the SPZ-00 looks like a simple, plain zip-up hoodie.

But behind that understated appearance lies an extraordinary amount of work, from knitting the fabric to developing the pattern and completing the sewing.

No flashy details are needed when the craftsmanship speaks for itself.

It's a wonderful example of DELUXEWARE's dedication to making everyday clothing exceptionally well.

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
