The neckline is incredibly sturdy. It stretches when you put your head through, then returns to its original shape. Even after much wear, it won't easily stretch out thanks to the two-layer binder. We even had special attachments custom-made for the sewing machine just for this.

The hem and cuffs feature what's commonly called "Tenchi." Recently, it's also been referred to as "single," but it's not sewn with a single-stitch sewing machine; instead, the settings of an overlock sewing machine are changed.

With a loose overlock stitch, when opened, the thread runs vertically. This looks like dots, which is why it's called "single." It's a recreation of a stitching method that used to be common on vintage American T-shirts.

This year, we're using 7oz jersey. I first used this fabric last year for a football jersey and tried wearing it myself.

"It has that dry feel of a vintage T-shirt. It's comfortable to wear, and it's sturdy enough not to lose its shape easily. Yet, the fabric isn't too thick, so it's not hot—just the right weight."

The Running Cat T, 24SS, was a very firm 10oz, and the 25SS was a softer 6oz cotton rayon. For those who own them, please compare the differences in material by touching and wearing them.

This year, we added a print. When I was chatting with TCB's Inoue-kun about what to do, he said, "It has to be college style!" College-style animals... that's right, Wild Cats! I thought, and the text part of the design was done. But there was no illustration.

That's when AI finally came in. I asked Chat GPT to create a college-style design based on my brown tabby cat, Ocha-kun.
Using AI, I realized that trial and error is necessary: "Close the mouth a little more," "With an angry expression," and so on. After half a day, I had a satisfactory design.

This jersey fabric has a smooth, dry feel. It has a moderate thickness, so I think you can comfortably wear it even in midsummer.

This time, it's a stray cat pattern.

The navy is a dark blue close to black, with a cracking print.
