After a two-year hiatus, Workers' classic rough and tough jacket, the Lounge Jacket, is back.
Wool Cotton Tweed is a herringbone tweed specially ordered by WORKERS this season. It's made of wool vertically and cotton horizontally. It weighs about 9 ounces. It's hard to find a tweed fabric that you can say "this is it!" in the lineup of fabric stores, so this was a special order.
Since I was going to do it anyway, I wanted to use cotton for the weft instead of 100% wool to give it a slightly more substantial feel. Of course, I also thought it might be cheaper than 100% wool. Everything is so expensive these days.
Clothes made in Japan are becoming more and more expensive for customers to purchase, so we thought we might try to keep costs down and create a different feel from the standard 100% wool.
This fabric is the only one that has smooth polyester twill lining on the sleeves.
WORKERS makes fully lined jackets for autumn and winter, such as the Maple Leaf Jacket, but the Lounge Jacket has a slightly looser fit and wider sleeves.
We aim to create a jacket that can be worn casually and as a replacement for a coverall.
Personally, I often have to do physical work at the office, so I often wear a Lounge Jacket.

This is a size 36 fitted to a medium-sized torso, so it's a little tight. If you choose your usual size, you should get the desired amount of room.
