In the end, it’s the simple chinos you wear the most.

The WORKERS staple, Officer Trousers, Regular Fit, has arrived.

Wider than the Slim Fit and narrower than the Vintage Fit, with a hem width of approximately 21cm.

Neither too wide nor too slim, this is what WORKERS themselves describe as a perfectly ordinary straight fit.

The front is clean and pleat-free, while both the inseam and outseam are finished with double-stitched flat-felled seams, a familiar construction found on vintage military chinos.

The rear welt pockets are kept as narrow as possible, while the waistband uses an internal facing construction with no separate waistband visible from the outside.

At first glance, they’re extremely simple.

But with trousers this straightforward, the silhouette and small construction details make all the difference.

The classic USMC Khaki is a particularly good color.

WORKERS developed this custom shade by referencing what is believed to be a vintage pair of USMC trousers.

Rather than a conventional beige chino, it has an earthy, slightly ochre-toned khaki-beige appearance.

Dress them up a little with a white shirt and navy jacket, or simply wear them with a denim jacket, sweatshirt or military jacket.

No need to think too hard about what to wear with them.

Precisely because they’re so “ordinary,” these may well become the chinos you end up wearing the most.

What is an internal waistband facing?

The Regular Fit Officer Trousers use what is known in Japanese tailoring as a “koshiura” waistband construction.

Many trousers are made with a separate waistband attached around the top of the body.

With this construction, however, there is no separate waistband visible on the outside. Instead, the upper edge of the trouser body forms the exterior of the waist, while a separate facing is attached inside to finish and reinforce it.

This creates a particularly clean appearance around the waist, complementing the simple, pleat-free front.

The inseam and outseam are finished with double-stitched flat-felled seams, while the rear welt pockets are made as narrow as possible.

None of these details are particularly flashy, but that simplicity is exactly what allows the construction of old military chinos to show through.

The fabric is 100% cotton, 10oz chino cloth.

The trousers are supplied one-washed.

Hemming Service

Hemming is available free of charge for pants purchased from our store. We use thread that is as close as possible to the original in color and thickness, and finish the hem using the same sewing method as the original garment: chain stitch for chain-stitched hems and lockstitch for lockstitched hems.

If you would like hemming, please measure along the inseam from the crotch seam to the hem and let us know your desired inseam length in centimeters.

Most of the pants we carry are made from fabrics that have not undergone preshrinking or similar treatments, with an emphasis on preserving the natural character of the fabric and garment. As a result, slight differences between the left and right sides, as well as variations of a few millimeters, may occur due to the characteristics of the fabric, sewing, and washing.

We will finish the hem as closely as possible to your requested measurement; however, we cannot guarantee precision to the millimeter. If you require an extremely precise finished length, we recommend having the alteration performed by a specialist who can measure the garment in person.

Please note that hemmed items cannot be returned or exchanged.

Trying on at the store

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.

We do not ship to freight forwarding addresses.
