A shirt made from plain flannel fabric woven in Niigata Prefecture, a producer of yarn-dyed textiles.

The shirt has a design incorporating workwear elements, with symmetrical flapless pockets and elbow pads. The buttons are white and brown nut buttons with a Samurai logo engraved on them, and the stitching is robust, with triple-stitched wrap seams.

Although it is plain, it is not a simple, single-color flannel.
