Fish, are an important part of the ecosystem. They are also a trifle beautiful, with vibrant colors, patterns and shapes. Drawn by Satoshi Kaga, this bandanna has been a work of love and patience. Over several months and many many many, adjustments and fine-tuning we got it to look like a piece of art. Inspired by various unrelated inspirations, this first was based on a paper label then influenced by an old bandanna, and later a rug. The end result is a curious piece of bandanna art that will look absolutely incredible tied or wrapped around a person. The art style and arrangement of this bandanna is a bit of a throwback to the 1800s but only in jest. The look of the fish and use of bubble dots to create an underwater effect was a precarious undertaking. Making new things look like they’re old is not easy. Well we tried. I think it looks amazing. After several months and countless adjustments and fine-tuning, it finally turned into a piece of art. Influenced by a variety of seemingly unrelated things, it was initially based on a paper label, then incorporated the feel of an old bandanna, and later, elements of a rug. The final product is a curious and interesting piece of bandanna art that will look incredibly striking when tied or wrapped around a person.
The art style and arrangement of this bandanna are a bit of a homage to the 1800s, but only half in jest. The depiction of the fish and the use of bubble-like dots to create an underwater effect was, frankly, quite a precarious undertaking. Making new things look old is really not easy. Well, we tried. Personally, I think it turned out amazing.

The design and concept of the bandannas are by Jonathan Lukacek. The brand's art is handled by Yurika Shikai and other artists.

I met Jonathan at the exhibition the other day, and he gave me a lecture on how to tie a bandanna.
