A classic spring striped T-shirt. This year, I added a cat patch made by my music teacher, Okada Name.
The body is made of about 9 ounce jersey knit. It is knitted in the same way as T-shirt fabric, but the yarn is a little more sophisticated.
Two strands of No. 50 yarn are twisted together to make a double yarn. When knitting with a single yarn (single yarn), the yarn will twist diagonally in the direction of the twist. While there are some vintage-like products that have this "diagonal" effect, it is a big no-no for stripes.
If you cut a "diagonal" striped fabric with "pattern priority" on it, the fabric will be cut diagonally. When sewn, the garment will be twisted, so this is a no-no.
To prevent the fabric from skewing or twisting,
The twist direction of one thread is reversed to the direction of twisting two threads together. This is why two-ply threads are less likely to skew.
The knitted fabric is mercerized. It is immersed in an alkaline liquid to make the surface smooth. It is sturdy and does not lose its shape easily, and the smooth surface means that it will not get caught even if you wear a jacket over it. The ribbing around the neck is made thick and sturdy so that the striped color is not easily visible.
Speaking of stripes, there's Inoue from TCB. He prides himself on being "the man who wears WORKERS stripes more than the WORKERS themselves." Will TCB continue to carry WORKERS stripes next year? Or will they choose XX DEVELOPMENT stripes? Keep an eye on the love game surrounding TCB's Inoue.
The above is reprinted from the WORKERS website.
It doesn't lose its shape no matter how much you wear it. It's thick and sturdy, but it's cool and dry.
This classic striped T-shirt can still be used to protect yourself from the midsummer sun.
