TCB Jeans' classic chinos. The fabric is quite dense and sturdy, with a subtle sheen and a slightly rough, dry cotton texture that feels great for everyday wear. Recommended for those who prefer a slightly wider silhouette.
□Stitching
The pockets feature 2mm wide double-welt construction, inspired by vintage 41 Khakis, with the openings not fully closed.

The waistband's chain stitching is sewn in a single pass from top to bottom, which is an interesting detail that differs from civilian workwear.
There's a slight looseness in the fabric on the reverse side of the stitching below the waistband.
I interpret this as likely being a "marbelt" specification, a tailoring technique used in suit trousers to prevent shirts from riding up when tucked in.
This helps me understand why they are officially called officer chinos.

*Most of the pockets TCB sews for jeans. Welt pockets involve more parts and significantly more effort in the process. While there are machines that can automatically sew all welt pockets, we sew these entirely by hand to achieve a vintage look with slightly uneven openings. Occasionally making different pants makes me realize how easily and quickly jeans are designed to be sewn.
□Fabric
10oz fabric based on vintage 41 Khaki.
The warp uses 38 count yarn plied into a 19 count equivalent.
The weft uses 20 count yarn plied into a 10 count equivalent, woven at high density.
The cotton is American cotton.
Chino cloth commonly uses 20 count yarn for both warp and weft, but
TCB's fabric uses yarn that is 1 count heavier for the warp and 10 counts heavier for the weft, which might suggest a slightly heavier fabric, but it's very soft and doesn't feel stiff at all.
□Label
Western Costume, a costume provider for films, sometimes appears in vintage clothing stores.
Towards achieving our long-held dream, we present these with an "Eastern Costume" label, imagining that TCB was chosen as the costume supplier at that time.
□Size
Compared to TCB's other pants, the waist circumference and rise are similar to the 30's Jeans C.
Same size as 30's Jeans
One size down from 50s Jeans / S40's Jeans
is recommended.
*Jeans stretch by about 1-3 inches with wear, so the most accurate way to choose your size is to measure your waist circumference and base your selection on that number.
