The other day, I had the opportunity to see the real shadow stripe, and was surprised to see that it was actually the same, so I would like to put this coat in the spotlight again.

Using vintage fabric samples as reference, we created an original 6.5 oz Workers original shadow stripe fabric from the base fabric to reproduce the texture of the fabric. The slightly uneven No. 10 thread is woven with low tension and few threads. This reproduces the unique soft texture of the fabric. The fabric is dyed as darkly as possible with indigo and printed twice with separate types for the front and back. With exquisite control of printing pressure and chemical concentration, the pattern that originally appeared in the weave is expressed in the print.
The pattern has a straight, rugged silhouette reminiscent of workwear, and the pockets are small and realistic in shape.

When it was released, it seemed quite expensive, and people had no idea what shadow stripes were or how to wear a coverall, so I guess they didn't really understand how good it was.

Looking back at it now, it's very good. Mr. Tateno is amazing.

It has been in stock in the store for many years, so it has some fading from the sun, but that's also part of its charm.

*Most Workers products are sewn using cotton thread. As we aim to use thread thickness and pitch as close as possible to vintage threads, some products have threads that break easily. In some areas, we sew over threads that broke during sewing. We hope you understand that this is unavoidable when recreating old items. Also, if the thread wears out or some stitches come off while wearing the item, please sew over those areas. You can also sew by hand. Just doing this will make a big difference in how the item will hold up.

*This product is indigo dyed, so the color will fade considerably. Please wash it separately. When wearing it, please be careful not to transfer the color to white or light-colored clothes or to other items around you.
In addition, the fabric is quite susceptible to change, so it reacts with oxygen and oxidizes, and is also vulnerable to sunburn. Even if it is not worn or washed, it will discolor just by being left out or hung on a hanger. Therefore, our products will also discolor slightly compared to when they arrived. This is a characteristic of this product, so please understand this before ordering.

Trying on at the store

In-store try-ons are offered as a service to customers who are considering purchasing from our store.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
