A classic striped T-shirt for spring.
The cat patch made by Okada Name is also sewn beautifully after some fine-tuning. The body is made of about 9 ounces of jersey knit. It is knitted in the same way as T-shirt fabric, but the thread is used in a creative way.
Two strands of No. 50 yarn are twisted together to make a double yarn. When knitting with a single strand of yarn (single yarn), the yarn will twist diagonally in the direction of the twist. While there are some vintage-like products that have this "dip," it is a no-no for stripes.
If you cut a diagonal striped fabric with the pattern as the first priority, the fabric will be cut diagonally. When you sew the garment, it will end up twisted, so this is a no-no.
In order to prevent the fabric from skewing or twisting, the direction in which each thread is twisted is reversed from the direction in which two threads are twisted together. This is why two-ply yarns are less likely to skewer.
The knitted fabric is then mercerized by immersing it in an alkaline liquid to make the surface smooth.
It is sturdy and doesn't lose its shape easily, and the surface is smooth so it won't get caught even if you wear a jacket over it.
The ribbing around the neck should be thick and sturdy so that the color of the border doesn't show through.
