It's been a while since the L-2 series was released. The changes are in the color and rib tension.
The outer material is 66 nylon, which was silver in the previous model but is now olive in color. The lineup also includes Air Force Blue, modeled after the L-2A.
I made a green rib sample, but navy rib is also available.
Another change was made to the waist. The side seams of the body were loosened, and the waist was loosened a little. The tension of the waist rib was loosened accordingly. It's a really small difference, but the tight feeling of the waist has become looser.
The length has not changed, but as the ribbing has become looser, the back is less rounded and the measurements show it has grown by about 1 cm.
Lining is cotton/rayon satin.
The original L-2B is wool/rayon, but wool blends are only worn at certain times of the year. So, we changed it to cotton rayon satin. The ribs were also changed to cotton instead of wool, as in the original. This rib is not available in ready-made products, so it is made to order. Well, there are some, but they are mainly synthetic fibers, like "MA-1 sets!". If you go out of your way to say "cotton, with seamless circular knitting at the cuffs," you have to make it. But even in such cases, it's okay. WORKERS, which I searched all over Japan, has a proper supplier. (Please hear about the difficult journey of this purchase at the exhibition. After being treated coldly by a very rude knitter, I had a fateful encounter with the angelic supplier who made the ribs for this time.) The circular knitting rib on the cuffs is especially important. Seamless circular knitting of cuffs ribs can only be knitted with a small circular knitting machine, like a special machine for knitting socks. In the past, we made a lot of parts, so it was easy to make them, but now, if you want to make a small amount, you have to start by looking for machines, which takes a lot of time. The original wool parts, lining and ribbing are all made of cotton, so it is easy to handle. You don't have to worry about moth holes or shrinkage. We made this blouson with the aim of making it easy to wear.
The above is reprinted from WORKERS HP.
A lightweight blouson made of cotton rib with no padding. It's the best way to wear it right now while still taking advantage of the best parts of the real thing.
It's always a well thought out and well made product.
It's not heavy and can be used as a windbreaker.
