Lot 802 has a slightly narrower hem width and a modern, tapered silhouette that looks neat.

Denim made from upland cotton from the United States for both warp and weft.
We simply thought, "When it comes to basic jeans, it must be denim woven from yarn made only from American cotton!" But when we started making it, we couldn't find a standard 100% American cotton yarn! So, we decided to make the yarn ourselves! (Even though that means producing an enormous quantity)

Upland cotton is an extremely basic cotton. We import it to Japan, scan the slub yarn shape seen in vintage jeans, and determine the yarn shape. We also control the slubs so they are not too strong.

The finished yarn is rope-dyed. It's pure indigo dyeing without pre-dyeing or post-dyeing. The characteristic of this color is that it has relatively less redness and a stronger blueness.

Furthermore, the fabric is woven on a power loom with selvedge. By weaving with low tension, the fabric gains a plump texture, ensuring that the inherent character of the yarn and cotton is not lost. The finished fabric is raw denim that has not undergone sanforization or singeing to remove fuzz. It shrinks and twists when washed. However, before shipping, it is one-washed and tumble-dried to shrink it as much as possible.

There are two patterns: the straight Lot 801 and the slim tapered Lot 802. The hem width is the same for about 10 cm from the hem, so even if you hem them up to about 30 inches in length, the hem width will not change. All stitching is done with cotton thread. For the side seams, the so-called "small crotch" where the left and right body pieces are joined, the yoke, and the waistband, thick thread is used. This specification is meant to provide strength with cotton thread, but as a result, it creates the uneven texture of the selvedge and the strong puckering of the yoke. This time, when creating the fabric from scratch and making jeans, we focused on "being basic." To create a classic feel, there are methods of mixing non-American cottons like Peruvian or Indian cotton. Even for indigo dyeing, there are ways to create a different flavor than pure indigo through pre-dyeing, but we chose not to do these and stuck with American cotton and pure indigo. As a result, the finished color is a strong blue, just as I envisioned. The process from harvesting raw cotton to spinning the yarn, and then rope-dyeing, weaving, and sewing, is introduced below.

With a clean tapered silhouette and strong blue hue, these jeans have an elegant uneven texture, making them easy to pair with jackets for an Ivy League style, or other smart casual outfits.

With plenty of room around the hips and a significantly narrower hem, these are also recommended for customers who have voluminous hips and thighs from sports, and struggle with waistbands being too loose when they find a pair that fits their legs, or who can't wear slim-fit jeans.

※Please note that these are quite slim from the knee down, so if you have thick calves, please be aware.

Many people might love this 802 silhouette, but unfortunately, it will be discontinued with this run.

It's not due to lack of popularity; rather, the fabric production now has a 3-year wait, and producing the 801 is all they can manage.

As this is the final shipment, we have prepared as many as possible, but once they are sold out, there will be no more. *We might be able to produce them again if fabric production returns to normal, but that won't be for the next three years.

Whether you're a long-time fan or have never tried them before, don't miss this opportunity.
