This cap is inspired by the uniforms once worn by railway workers and mechanics.

Its design is based on the functional hats of that era, featuring extra seam allowance between the brim and the main body, making it easier to lift the brim while working. This design was adopted to facilitate tasks.

The crown is constructed with a 6-panel crazy pattern, and the seams are reinforced with chain stitching, commonly used in denim and painter's pants.

The body is made from cotton-linen prepera fabric.
It offers a refreshing texture with a coarse weave and a textured surface.

The design includes an adjustable tape inside and is available in three sizes with an adjustment function.

A work cap, yet somehow refreshing.

Although its design originates from caps worn by railway workers and mechanics, this C/L PREPERA RAILROAD CAP doesn't have the heavy, "workwear" impression.

The reason for this lies in the fabric.

The cotton 70% and linen 30% prepera fabric has a noticeably coarse weave when viewed up close.

The fabric surface has subtle irregularities, giving it a dry, light appearance that is distinctly different from typical cotton twill or denim caps.

This fabric would be suitable for spring and summer, and even into early autumn when the heat lingers.

The shape is 6-panel, but a closer look reveals a crazy pattern where the panel divisions are not uniform.

Furthermore, the seams are reinforced with chain stitching, commonly found in work pants.

From a distance, it appears simple.

Up close, it is clearly elaborate.

This balance seems just right for everyday use.

Personally, I also like the brim.

While it looks good worn forward, tilting it up slightly instantly gives it the look of a classic work cap.

It pairs well with simple summer styles like T-shirts with military or denim pants, and of course, with work shirts and coveralls.

What is Prepera?

Prepera is a woven fabric characterized by a coarse, irregular surface created by using yarns of varying thicknesses and different weaving methods.

The fabric used here is a cotton-linen prepera consisting of 70% cotton and 30% linen.

If you look closely at the photos, you can see a three-dimensional weave with small gaps, unlike typical plain weaves or twills.

This coarse structure reduces the surface area that touches the skin, giving it a cool and dry appearance and feel.

Additionally, the 30% linen blend adds a refreshing sensation and a unique texture that cotton alone cannot achieve.

It feels smooth and soft to the touch. As the fabric breaks in with use, it will develop a distinct, even softer drape, a pleasure unique to natural fibers.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
