We have decided to renew the S40's Jacket, which we have been producing for the past five years.
At the time, the idea was to offer "ease of wear" by making the length and armholes slightly neater, while still drawing inspiration from vintage pieces.
However, as time went on, and I reconsidered vintage items, I started to want to create an S40's with the same silhouette.
The new S40's has the same length, body width, and sleeve angle as the vintage version.
The fabric remains the same, so if you own S40's Jeans, you can wear them as a set.
Of course, there will be those who say they preferred the previous silhouette, and others who will exclaim, "I've been waiting for this!"
In baseball, a home run is 100% a home run in anyone's eyes.
But one of the interesting things about making clothes is that the line between a home run and a strikeout isn't always clear. That's why we believe that consistently throwing what we consider "the best strike ball" is the raison d'être and importance of TCB.
When we produced the 50's Jeans in 2012, I wondered who would buy jeans made by an unknown company like TCB, but I am grateful that TCB now receives such requests.
At the time, I was strongly attracted to the perfection of vintage items like the 506XX and 507XX, but as I reproduced various models, including those from two major "L" companies, I became more drawn to the charm and historical background found in the imperfections of "Simplified" models than before.
With these changes in my own perspective, we are finally ready to release this product.
The fabric is also a new model, TCB WW2 14oz, a custom-made fabric specifically for the S40's. Please refer to the photos for details on each feature, including the fabric.
*The T-back specification applies to sizes 40 inches and above.
For sizes between 38 and 40 inches, the length setting and other measurements become longer, so if you are considering sizing up, we recommend checking the length.
*The Red Tab specification has been changed and is now indigo dyed.
