Originating in the 1930s, cotton knit sweatshirts became widely available in the 1940s. They are classified into several types, such as the front V-type with a V-shaped gusset at the neck, the double V-type with gussets at both the front and back, and set-in sleeves or freedom sleeves.

The numerous variations are interesting, and including the texture of the cotton knit, there are dozens of types.

In the early 1950s, with technological advancements, new spinning machines became available on the market, making it possible to spin cotton into yarn faster and more efficiently. It is believed that these spinning machines further popularized sweatshirts.

These spinning machines produced yarn with distinct characteristics, specifically a dry and firm texture. Consequently, the resulting cotton knit also reflected these characteristics. DeluxeWare sweatshirts inherit these characteristics and aim for even higher quality.

Features a texture and dry feel achieved by knitting at the maximum density with the ultra-low speed of the vintage loopwheel knitting machine, and outstanding heat retention. Brushed lining included.

Spiral Comment

A classic sweatshirt representing DELUXEWARE.

It's a model that is re-stocked every year and continues to be loved by many fans, with some even buying additional sizes or colors each time.

While 20oz might suggest a heavy feel, it actually conforms naturally to the body when worn. It can serve as a jacket in deep winter, and as a standalone piece, it has enough presence for spring and autumn.

If sized just right, it looks neat as an inner layer under a jacket or coverall.

Sizing up and layering it over a shirt provides insulation comparable to outerwear.

This "heather gray" also boasts an attractive soft hue with a hint of beige. From new, it has a vintage-like calm, and its compatibility with denim goes without saying.

The stitching is also striking.

The strong stitching, generously using thick cotton thread, is something only DELUXEWARE, with its own factory, can achieve. Each stitch embodies the craftsmen's desire to "create truly good products."

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
