There are only a few cars in this whole spinning country that ever felt worthy of becoming a bandanna. One was that old Chinook camping truck we did before, rolling along like a tired American saint across endless milemarkers — but this time it’s this little “midori” green Mini Clubman, humming quietly through Tokyo like some strange lucky star in a dream. The owner of the car is one of those rare souls you meet out on the road and never quite forget. Cool in the real way, effortless, moving through the city with the glow of somebody who knows that neon-sign-good-time. And the car itself ain’t just a car either — it’s a traveling bar-car, a moving lantern in the night. Maybe someday you’ll catch it parked somewhere in Tokyo, lights glowing soft against the street, somebody handing you a drink while music drifts out into the humid evening air. The green on this bandanna comes straight from the machine itself. Real midori green. We chased the exact shade because some colors carry whole hangovers and regrets inside them. This one belongs to the “Home I’ll Never Be” series — little lighthouses for people who keep moving, who find comfort somewhere between empty highways, and the never-destinations.
この回り続ける国の中で、「バンダナにしたい」と本気で思えた車なんて、ほんのわずかしかなかった。前に作ったあの古いチヌークのキャンピングトラックもそうやった。果てしないマイル標識のあいだを、くたびれたアメリカの聖人みたいに転がっていくような車やった。でも今回の主役は、小さな“みどり”色のMini Clubman。夢の中に現れる、ちょっと不思議なラッキースターみたいに、東京の街を静かに走っている。オーナーもまた、一度旅の途中で出会ったら、なかなか忘れられへんような人やねん。本当の意味でクールな人。力んだところなんかひとつもなくて、ネオンサインの灯りの向こう側にある“ええ夜”をちゃんと知ってる顔で街を流れていく。しかもこの車、ただの車やない。移動するバーみたいな存在やねん。夜の街を漂う、小さな灯台みたいなもんかもしれへん。もしかしたらいつか東京のどこかで、この車が静かに停まってるのを見つける日が来るかもしれん。やわらかい灯りが路面を照らして、湿った夜風の中へ音楽が溶けていく。その横で、誰かがそっと一杯手渡してくれる。このバンダナに使った緑は、その実車そのものの色や。本物の“みどり”色。どうしてもその色をそのまま持ってきたかった。色によっては、二日酔いも、後悔も、昔の夜の匂いまで全部抱えてることがあるから。これは「Home I’ll Never Be」シリーズのひとつ。走り続ける人たちのための、小さな灯台みたいなバンダナ。どこにも辿り着かへん道と、終わらない旅路の途中で、少しだけ心を落ち着かせてくれるような存在。

まず色がいい♪
実車から採ったという"みどり"は鮮やかすぎず、深すぎず、ブラックをベースにすることで程よい存在感に仕上がっています。
一見するとグラフィカルなデザインですが、実際に首へ巻くとミニクーパーや六角形のモチーフが程よく崩れ、意外なほど合わせやすいのも魅力。
デニムやブラックのレザージャケット、ミリタリーウェアとも相性が良く、差し色としてコーディネートに遊び心を加えてくれます。
"Home I'll Never Be"シリーズらしい旅の空気をまとった、One Ear Brandならではの一枚です。
MINIのオーナーさんにはもちろん、車好きの方にもおすすめです。

この作品では、単なるクルマとしてではなく、東京の夜を走る「移動するバー」のような存在として描かれています。
実在する車や人物との出会いを物語としてデザインへ落とし込んだ一枚です。
