This year, we made the border fabric a little thinner.
Last year it was about 9 oz., this year it's about 6 oz.
The yarn used for knitting is the same, but for last year's fabric, we used "doubled yarn = 2 strands together" in the knitting needle, whereas this year's fabric uses 1 strand.
Last year, TCB's special order was made with this thinner version of the fabric specifications.
I'm a bit stubborn, so I used to think, "Borders? Agnès, Saint James, they all use super heavy ounce fabric, so borders must be heavy ounce!!!" and used thick fabric.
However, when I saw Mr. Inoue from TCB wearing a short-sleeved border shirt even in summer and looking cool, I thought, "That's nice~."
Indeed, 6 oz. is the thickness of a regular T-shirt. It can be worn alone in mid-summer.
While considering colors, I thought, "It might be good to have a tricolor by wrapping the neck with a different color than the body."
So I thought, "Alright, market research!" and went to check out U from overseas and M from Japan... but there were no, no, no border shirts with a bound neck (ribbed wrap) in the first place. Most of them had a "mock collar," which was just self-stitching + stitching around the neck. Mock collars make it easier for the "head to stretch, and conform to the neck." For binding, you have to consider the stretch and shrinkage of the fabric, draw a pattern for the neck, make a sample, draw another pattern, make another sample...
For the past few years, WORKERS hasn't changed its fabric frequently, so the dimensions of the binding have become very stable, thanks to these "repeated samples." (Also, thanks to the fabric and sewing factories that produce fabrics with stable physical properties.)
Since the market research was a bust, I ended up choosing colors entirely based on my own preferences. There are too many colors!
My third-rate merchandising skills are showing again. Prioritizing my feelings over merchandising.
The name is WORKERS' trademark, a cat patch & cat print name.
This year, it's again made by Okada Name-san, our father in Okayama. Since the fabric is thinner, it's easier to use as an inner layer. In early spring, wear it under a G-jacket or coverall.
What I like is to wear a long-sleeved T-shirt under a button-down or band-collar shirt, using the shirt as a jacket.
I think it would also go well with this season's swing top.

Please refrain from trying on items solely for the purpose of size confirmation.
Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.
Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.
For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
