This year's border fabric is slightly thinner.
Last year was about 9oz, this year is about 6oz.

The yarn used for knitting is the same, but for the knitting needles, until last year, we used to "bundle together = put two yarns together," but for this year's fabric, we use only one yarn.

Last year, TCB's custom order was made with this thinner version of the fabric specifications.

I'm stubborn, so I thought, "Borders? Agnès and Saint James both use super heavy ounce fabrics, so borders must be heavy ounce!" and I used thick fabric.

However, when I saw TCB's Inoue-kun wearing a short-sleeved border in the summer and looking cool, I thought, "That looks good~."
That's right, 6oz is the thickness of a typical T-shirt. You can wear it alone in mid-summer.

Considering the colors, I thought, "It might be nice to wrap the neck in a different color from the body for a tricolor look."
So I thought, "Alright, let's do some market research!" I went to see global U and Japanese M, and found that there were no border shirts with a bound (ribbed) neck at all. Most of them had a "mock collar," which is self-stitched + topstitching around the neckline. Mock collars are easier to make "stretchable for the head and fit the neck." Binders require considering the stretch and shrinkage of the fabric, drafting patterns for the neckline, making samples, drafting patterns, making samples... repeatedly.

WORKERS has not changed fabrics frequently for the past few years, so the binder dimensions have become very stable, thanks to these "repeated samples." (Also, thanks to the fabric manufacturers and sewing factories that produce fabrics with stable physical properties.)

The market research was a dud, so I went all out with my personal preferences for color selection, and this is what happened. Too many colors!
My third-rate merchandising skills are on display again. Prioritizing my feelings over merchandising.

The name is WORKERS' trademark, a cat patch & cat print name.
This year, too, it's made by Okada Name in Okayama, our "Okayama father." Since the thickness is reduced, it's easier to wear as an inner layer. In early spring, wear it under a G-jean or coverall.

What I like is to wear a long-sleeved T-shirt under a button-down or band-collar shirt and use the shirt like a jacket.
I think it would also go well with this season's swing top.

The above is reprinted from the official WORKERS website.

The fabric is thin, smooth, and comfortable. This is a garment that will keep you looking cool even in mid-summer. The long sleeves also protect you from the intense sun.
