The width is a little loose and the size is designed to be tucked in.
If you wear a rugby shirt or a mock neck underneath and open the front, it will be a POPEYE outfit. But I think it would be better for older guys to just wear it normally.
The embroidery on the chest was made by my father, Okada Name, from Okayama.
The glen check pattern is made with the same thread and weave as the Cotton Serge, the legendary Officer Trousers from 23SS that sold out. It uses top thread (thread dyed with cotton) made overseas, and has a wool-like texture despite being cotton. It was a good fabric, but it was so expensive that the fabric manufacturer gave up on manufacturing it, saying, "We can't stock it!"
Before that thread (it's the thread that's important, not the fabric) was discontinued, WORKERS made this glen check as a special order and stored it in a warehouse. Why was it stored? It was left to mature! Because it didn't sell! The reason is that the check was made with fabric made from an expensive top thread, so the fabric price was even higher, which meant the product price was high, and glen check is surprisingly not popular. However, I love glen check, so I'll use it.
The product has been overhauled.
The above is an excerpt from the WORKERS website.
So, even though it may seem expensive to us, we have it in stock because it is made of good quality fabric.
The wide body and loose silhouette may be a matter of personal preference, but don't worry, it won't look childish. I think this silhouette is a perfect match for the sophisticated fabric.
The cat embroidery on the chest also gives it a nice casual look.
