These SEAMENS Jumpers are made based on a vintage 40's USN DECK JKT owned by TCB.
The sewing thread is selected one by one, taking into account the thread count and color.
While the silhouette is based on vintage clothing, we've made the body and sleeves slightly tighter to create a silhouette that's still relevant today, without compromising the vintage feel.
The pockets are double-loop stitched, and the reinforcing stitching at the pocket opening, which is subject to stress, is sewn roughly, based on the original design.
The underside of the hem will feature stencils applied entirely by hand.
The custom-made resin shift buttons are glossy at first, but that gradually fades, and eventually they will have the same feel as the original.
To prolong its lifespan, please remove it before washing, even if it's a bit of a hassle.
Furthermore, the buttonholes for the buttons are made using genuine buttonhole stitching. They are sewn using a SINGER 99 sewing machine, a rare machine of which only a few are still operational.
The fabric used is 10oz denim with natural unevenness, not the computer-controlled uneven yarn that is currently mainstream.
Although the selvage isn't used in the product, we use selvage fabric made with a power loom.
We use pre-dyed gray thread for the stitching, anticipating heavy wear and tear.
