The samples we have sampled this time are reminiscent of the late war, when wartime restrictions continued and shortages of materials became so severe that they had no choice but to accept different materials for the pocket fabric, and sewing technicians were probably drawn into producing military uniforms and other items, so the garments were sewn by inexperienced people.
Flannel

This original design was created based on the flannel fabric used in vintage linings.
Based on the results of the analysis, we are having the fabric woven in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture using the left school number 14 for warp thread.
The vintage colors are quite faded, so TCB uses a fading dyeing method so that the pink and green colors fade by the time the jeans are fully faded.
The vintage flannel looked brushed, but it felt more like a change over time rather than a processing done on the fabric, so TCB did not brush it either, instead creating it with the idea that it would gradually become fluffy over time.
Back Pocket

Stitching the back pocket. I went one stitch too far, so I went back one stitch and started again.
Crotch Sewing

The small steps that look like this are the result of trying to go back and then moving forward again. We can all understand the feeling of wondering "What was the right way to do it?" when sewing a large amount of stitches.
Back York Lap Seam

The back yoke of vintage jeans is significantly misaligned, so even with TCB, we intentionally sew them without matching the original.
Overlocking
Overlock is a stitching technique used to sew over the edges of fabric.
The triangular stitching is cute.
Concealed Bar Tuck

This is the area around the rivets on the back pocket. Normally, the area indicated by the arrow is pinned and the pocket is temporarily fastened before the rivets are sewn in, followed by the back pocket, but on this particular item, the rivets are temporarily fastened using a flat stitching machine instead of pinning. Perhaps this saved the trouble of moving to the pinning machine? Or perhaps moving it was just too much of a hassle?
In fact, it can be said that hidden pins are more important than hidden rivets in terms of the strength of the pocket, but this is also an irregular detail that is typical of wartime.
Donut Button

The buttons are made of iron, with two prongs and a donut shape. They will develop a unique rusty appearance.
Belt Loops
The belt loops are 1.5cm wide with a narrow 7/32 inch stitch.
The above is an excerpt from the TCB official website
This late-war model was created based on a vintage model. It would be fun to wear it yourself and see it become just like a vintage item.
Although it is listed as 13.5oz, it has a stiff texture and is very comfortable to wear. I have a feeling it will wear well.
