We have reproduced the legendary 1943XX "war model" that existed in the former GARDENER.
The pattern was newly created for this occasion. It has been revived using Ueki's new pattern based on the real thing.
The fabric is of course made in Japan, a 14.5oz 6x6 yarn from Okayama that has been slowly woven with extremely low tension to create a rough red edge selvedge.
Looking at the numbers, it doesn't seem very thick, but it is made from long slub yarn, which gives it a rough, rugged appearance.
The lining is made of soft cotton flannel from Niigata, which feels smooth against the skin.
The old GARDENER buttons were painted with lacquer, but this time we asked Button Works to make new iron laurel buttons that will rust without any clear coat. Not only the cover parts, but the whole button will rust.
Although they are not visible, the hidden rivets are also original iron rivets. After many years of wear, rust will begin to form around the rivets.
All sewing threads are made of cotton.
We hope you will enjoy using these jeans for a long time and watching them change to the texture of vintage jeans.
All products have been one-washed. They are one-washed with no glue remaining, so you can enjoy the crisp feel without the need for glue.
If you wash it again at home it will become somewhat softer and will become slightly denser overall (up to 1.5cm). The colour will also fade more easily, so please wash it according to your preference.
The size is up to your preference, but I feel that the waist size is a little loose. The thighs are wide, as is typical of wartime models.
The 579XX denim jacket set, made from the same fabric and sewing thread, was also released at the same time. This set completely ignores the brand and historical background, but it is well-balanced, so please give it a try.
This is the actual size chart for the one-wash item. The fabric used this time has low tension, so There is an error of about 2 cm. Please note that the size chart below is the actual size of a randomly picked item, so there may be differences between the item you receive and the actual size.
