After a two-year hiatus, WORKERS' classic, rugged and tough jacket, the Lounge Jacket, is back.

This denim jacket is part of a set with the Officer Trousers, and is made of 8-ounce denim. It's unlined. It's a jacket you can throw on easily, and after washing, it develops a nice puckered texture, allowing you to wear it casually like a coverall. Because it's not too thick or heavy, it's comfortable to wear from early autumn. While the 10-ounce denim has a nice sturdy feel, it takes a while to break in. That's why I chose the 8-ounce version this season.

The denim we use has a subtle gray tint in the weft threads. Unlike regular denim where the weft threads are the natural color of cotton, this one has a more subdued overall tone. We felt that this slightly more subdued tone would be better suited for a suit jacket and trousers. However, dyeing the threads naturally increases the cost, which is why it's a little more expensive than chino.

The Wool Cotton Tweed is a herringbone tweed that we specially commissioned from WORKERS this season. It's wool in the warp and cotton in the weft, approximately 9 ounces. We couldn't find a truly perfect tweed fabric in the fabric stores' lineups, so we went with a special order. Since we were doing it, we wanted to add a bit more substance by using cotton in the weft instead of simply 100% wool. However, it turned out lighter than expected. But that's fine; it's easy to wear this way.
Of course, there's also the idea of whether we can keep the cost lower than 100% wool. Everything is too expensive these days. Clothes made in Japan are becoming too expensive for customers to buy, so we're trying to figure out how to keep the cost down while creating a different atmosphere from the standard 100% wool.
Only this fabric has a smooth polyester twill lining on the sleeves.

WORKERS also makes fully lined jackets for autumn and winter, such as the Maple Leaf Jacket, but the Lounge Jacket has a slightly looser fit and thicker sleeves. It's designed to be worn "comfortably," as a "substitute for a coverall." Personally, I often wear the Lounge Jacket to work because my job often involves physical labor.

Cotton fabric chinos and denim are OW (overwashed) processed. Wool cotton tweed is delivered NW (not washed) and unwashed.

Trying on at the store

Items such as cut-and-sew garments, which are prone to stretching, cannot be tried on. Exchanges after trying on at home post-purchase are also not accepted.

Please also refrain from trying on belts, as they tend to stretch. For length confirmation, please bring a belt you are currently using.

For leather boots and sandals, try-ons are also offered on the premise of purchase. Please try them on during the final confirmation stage. When trying on, please be careful not to cause wrinkles. Please be sure to bring your own socks.
