In Japan, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of varieties. Their cultural significance in Japanese culture is immeasurable. Songs, festivals, viewing parties... the list goes on. The aesthetic value of "sakura" is deeply rooted in ideas of beauty, the transience of life and death, and especially the concept of "mono no aware," which is the idea of being sensitive and aware of the surrounding nature and appreciating its beauty.

While a cherry blossom bandana might seem commonplace, this time we had our friend @alessio_vitelli create the illustration. He has lived in Japan for many years and has a very interesting art style. We thought his art style would be a perfect fit for the concept of a cherry blossom bandana. It has a slightly psychedelic style but maintains a traditional bandana layout. Within its simple design, subtle details such as budding flowers and falling petals stand out. These perfectly express the transience of these emotions. Using quartz pink and cocoa brown, the artwork is given a natural hue. We believe this bandana will suit anyone and various fashion styles. Didn’t take long for the rains to quit and the wind to come. Next thing you know, that soil was lifting up into the sky, rolling across the land in great clouds. Families packed what they could and headed west, chasing something steadier. History’s got a way of circling back around. We’ve always liked a pattern that does the same. Took a little from those old French toile de Jouy prints, mixed in scenes from the Dust Bowl, and let it tell its own kind of story. No fences on this one—just a pattern that keeps on going, edge to edge, like the plains themselves. You can tie it, lay it out, stitch it onto something worn and lived-in—it’ll find its place. In continuous homage and interest to USARP—United States Antarctic Research Project—preparations have been completed for the production of a new issued bandana. During the initial design phase, a map-based layout was adopted, referencing state-specific souvenir kerchiefs that once circulated in small numbers throughout the United States. The primary visual structure is centered around a comprehensive map of Antarctica. The graphic treatment refers to and studies the designs of 1950s industrial and workwear bandanas. The design takes into account visibility, design durability, and the characteristics of outdoor equipment from that period. The four corner sections feature large ice blocks and drift ice. In the central command position, one Antarctic explorer-scientist and one accompanying penguin associate are placed. Both are positioned to boost morale and maintain the spirit of exploration. The final specification is a souvenir-style utility bandana completed for summer deployment. It has the ability to provide a psychological cooling effect in high-temperature environments. This equipment is officially approved for year-round civilian use. One was that old Chinook camping truck we did before, rolling along like a tired American saint across endless milemarkers — but this time it’s this little “midori” green Mini Clubman, humming quietly through Tokyo like some strange lucky star in a dream. The owner of the car is one of those rare souls you meet out on the road and never quite forget. Cool in the real way, effortless, moving through the city with the glow of somebody who knows that neon-sign-good-time.
